About us

Moscow School for NGO Management and Leadership was founded in 2005 by American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (AJJDC).

The School sees its mission in strengthening NGO sector in Russia through the delivery of highly qualified professional training and consulting services for non-profits.

The School is guided by the philosophy that training and development are critical if lay leaders, executives and managers are to find creative solutions to the complex challenges of today’s rapidly changing world. With its ground-breaking curriculum and innovative approach, the Moscow School for NGO Management and Leadership provides these key individuals with the comprehensive academic and applied tools that can set them, and their organizations, on the road to success.

Operated in conjunction with Moscow’s prestigious State University Higher School of Economics, the School is the first in Russia to offer academic studies and state diplomas in the NGO field. The School is developing a professional doctrine in all of the subject areas relevant to non-profit management by building curricula and courses specifically tailored to the needs and challenges Russia’s NGO leaders face.

The School also offers a uniquely supportive environment. By bringing together Jewish and non-Jewish NGO leaders, it is fostering a common professional language among Moscow’s emerging NGO community. It also draws on the expertise and experience of its rich array of alumni, donors, faculty, practitioners and thought leaders from different countries all over the world.

We invite you to join the many individuals and organizations who have chosen the School as their resource for professional development and leadership.
